Mark Graham
Dr Mark Graham is an associate professor in the Department of Visual Art at Brigham Young University. Dr Graham is also an artist and illustrator who has illustrated more than twenty children picture books and is represented in national and international exhibitions. He continues to create various kinds of art objects including paintings and installations. He graduated from the University of Utah and then studied at the Art Student’s League of New York, New York University and Columbia University, where he received his EdD. His research interests include the spiritual dimensions of art education, place-based education, ecology and art education, secondary art education policy and assessment, and the role of teaching artists in K-12 schools. He was a high school art teacher and arts administrator in the New York Public Schools before moving to Brigham Young University. He has published numerous articles about art, artists and art education.
